Associate Industrial Engineer

The employer is a manufacturer of industrial pumps, valves and flow-control equipment.
As an Associate Industrial Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in Lansing, MI. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Lansing location.
What you’ll do
- Run time studies and set labor standards
- Design facility layouts and material flow
- Build capacity and staffing models
- Map value streams and lead kaizen events
- Analyze operational data and recommend improvements
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills
- Clear communication with operations teams
- Experience with layout or simulation software
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience with FlexSim or Arena
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Lansing, MI is $38 – $47 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
