We are hiring an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our mechanical engineering team in New Haven. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New Haven office.
What you’ll do
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New Haven, CT is $71,000 – $90,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
