The employer is looking for a Principal Process Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK. In this role you will set technical direction alongside an experienced chemical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Oklahoma City location.
What you’ll do
- Troubleshoot production issues with operations and maintenance
- Run designed experiments to improve process capability
- Lead process hazard analyses and management-of-change reviews
- Develop P&IDs, mass balances and process documentation
- Monitor and optimize unit operations for yield, quality and cost
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong chemical engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of process safety practices
- Data analysis skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Oklahoma City, OK is $122,000 – $155,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
