The employer is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer in Los Angeles, CA. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced industrial & manufacturing engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Los Angeles location.
What you’ll do
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Support customer and third-party audits
- Develop inspection plans and control plans
- Monitor processes with statistical process control
- Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong documentation habits
- Root-cause analysis skills (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone)
- Working knowledge of SPC and measurement systems analysis
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with AS9100, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $125,000 – $160,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
