Associate Software Engineer

The employer is a robotics company building autonomous systems for warehouses and agriculture.

As an Associate Software Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Albuquerque, NM. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Albuquerque office.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
• Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
• Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing

Nice to have

• Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Albuquerque, NM is $87,000 – $111,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
