We are hiring an Associate Software Engineer to join our software engineering team in Houston. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Houston office.
What you’ll do
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
- Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
- Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Houston, TX is $93,000 – $118,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
