Energy Engineer Intern

The employer is a regional electric utility serving residential, commercial and industrial customers.
We are hiring an Energy Engineer Intern to join our energy engineering team in Dallas. You will gain hands-on experience on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Dallas location.
What you’ll do
- Write reports and present results to clients
- Design solar PV and battery storage systems
- Conduct energy audits of commercial and industrial facilities
- Model energy-saving measures and calculate payback
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering
- Experience with energy modeling tools
- Client-facing communication skills
- Knowledge of building systems and energy efficiency
Nice to have
- CEM or PE certification
- Experience with incentive programs
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Dallas, TX is $23 – $27 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
