The employer is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer in Orlando, FL. In this role you will set technical direction alongside an experienced electrical & computer engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Orlando location.
What you’ll do
- Bring up and validate prototype hardware in the lab
- Design analog, digital and power circuits for new products
- Support EMC, safety and regulatory testing
- Maintain bills of materials and work with component suppliers
- Capture schematics and guide PCB layout in Altium
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong analog and digital circuit fundamentals
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools
- Ability to read and interpret datasheets
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with power electronics or motor drives
- Experience with UL or IEC certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Orlando, FL is $139,000 – $176,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
