As a Principal HVAC Design Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Oklahoma City office.
What you’ll do
- Model systems and produce construction documents in Revit
- Support construction administration and commissioning
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare and education buildings
- Select equipment and write specifications
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience producing construction documents
- Strong coordination skills
- Experience with load calculation software
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with energy modeling in eQUEST or IES
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Oklahoma City, OK is $77 – $94 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
