Senior Manufacturing Engineer

The employer is a precision machining and fabrication company serving aerospace and defense customers.
We are hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our industrial & manufacturing engineering team in Philadelphia. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Philadelphia location.
What you’ll do
- Design fixtures, tooling and work cells
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Write work instructions and process documentation
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Support new product introduction on the production floor
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- CAD skills for fixture design
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with automation and robotics
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Philadelphia, PA is $67 – $82 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
