Senior Systems Engineer

The employer is an aerospace company designing aircraft structures, systems and components.
Our Eugene office is growing, and we need a Senior Systems Engineer who can lead technical work from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative systems engineering group and report to the systems engineering manager. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Eugene office.
What you’ll do
- Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements
- Plan and track verification and validation activities
- Define interfaces and maintain interface control documents
- Lead technical reviews with customers and suppliers
- Build system models in SysML
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to work across disciplines
- Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
- INCOSE certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Eugene, OR is $83 – $101 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
