Associate Software Engineer

The employer is a health technology company building software and devices for outpatient care.

We are hiring an Associate Software Engineer to join our software engineering team in San Francisco. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our San Francisco office.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
• Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
• Automate repetitive build, test and release steps

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
• Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $124,000 – $158,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
