Software Engineer

The employer is a developer-tools company making it easier for engineering teams to ship reliable software.

As a Software Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Austin, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Austin office.

What you’ll do

• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
• Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
• Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Austin, TX is $121,000 – $154,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
